Since our incorporation in 1993, our philosophy has been to build professional ongoing relationships with the agents we serve. Dwight Carter - President

Dwight Carter began his career in the insurance industry in 1969 when he went to work in the Raleigh, NC branch of a major property and casualty company. After nearly 25 years of managing their life department, Dwight opened a brokerage general agency of his own, Financial Security Associates.
As President and CEO, Dwight has developed FSA from a small regional operation into an organization that is now operating in 48 states. He is founder, past president and past chairman of The MV Group, one of the nation’s highest producing and well- respected national marketing organizations. Dwight is a long- standing member of many advisory boards & CEO Councils for major insurance carriers within the brokerage industry.
A long-time supporter of Independent Agents, Dwight spent 30+ years closely associated with his local Independent Insurance Agents organizations. He worked with IIANC through sponsorship of their educational events and by serving as a continuing education and pre-licensing education instructor.
Dwight led our industry in its battle with the SEC over Rule 151a in 2008. As is typical with his style of doing business, Dwight tirelessly devoted his professional and personal resources. He helped break down barriers and bridge differences in order to align the strengths within the insurance brokerage industry which ultimately became the force needed to grasp victory. Dwight’s job in that role, however, is not over. He continues to believe our industry’s future will rely on the ability of our collective voice to be heard and he is ready to serve in any capacity necessary to protect our businesses and the clients we serve. As a member of the board of directors of FACC, he is a constant advocate for independents in our industry.
Dwight’s reputable tenure in the insurance business is recognized outside our industry as well. He frequently consults with professionals in other fields who require detailed knowledge of life insurance brokerage, and he has been asked to serve as an expert witness during the litigation and trial of cases involving life insurance sold through brokerage distribution.
Dwight was born & raised in rural Ellerbe, North Carolina, but has resided in Cary, NC since 1972. He and his wife, Kathleen, have been married for 52 years. They have 2 sons, Stephen & Phillip, and daughter, Paige who is Vice President of Financial Security Associates. They also have three granddaughters – Sara Jane, Sophia and Lily Mae and grandson, Richard.

Paige Carter Blair - Vice President & Annuity Marketing

Paige joined Financial Security Associates in 1998 and has since achieved a high level of understanding of the life brokerage business from a product, service, administrative, technical and marketing perspective. Since joining FSA, she has served as an administrative assistant, case manager, system administrator, office manager, sales support and in marketing & recruiting. Today, she leads FSA in her role as Vice President. Paige works to maintain close relationships with FSA’s core carriers and key distributors alike. She values the opportunity to help independent agents assist their clients with accumulation and income retirement planning. Her expertise in life and annuity brokerage has helped establish FSA as a national marketing organization and continues to be a valuable resource to our agents and partners. She is currently serving on the board of directors for MV Group and as the marketing organization’s treasurer.

Paige has a BA in Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is licensed in the state of NC for Life Health and for LTC/Med Supp. A native North Carolinian, Paige resides in the coastal NC in the town of Wilmington with her husband Greg, their daughter Lily Mae and Pug, Fleetwood. She is active in the Wilmington non-profit community, helping to fight food insecurity in school children and advocating for social justice for the most fragile of the city’s citizens.

Sherry Mobley - VP / Brokerage Manager

When Sherry joined Financial Security Associates in April, 2000, she brought with her a strong background in the insurance industry. She began her career in service to independent agents in 1979 with a major property and casualty company. During her tenure in their claims department, Sherry gained her designation AIS and completed multiple supervisor seminars and management courses.
Sherry is a licensed life and health agent in the state of NC and also holds her LTC/Med Supp license. As brokerage manager, she over sees all internal operations including licensing & contracting. She also assists agents with their life insurance needs assessments and quoting. Her long- term experience with meeting the needs of independent agents makes her a vital asset to FSA’s staff.

Marie Moss - Life Specialist & New Business Case Manager

Marie joined FSA’s staff in 2001. Her years of sincere dedication have yielded a true master in the new business, suitability and underwriting processes. As FSA’s case manager, Marie handles a constant case load of pending applications. She helps agents with their life case design & quoting as well as in force service for existing policies.

Since her employment at FSA began, Marie has been oriented towards getting accurate results. She has excelled in her ability to coordinate even the most detailed requirements between home office and agent on cases of any type or size. Her willingness to meet any task, no matter how large or small has earned her a reputation of dependability and trustworthiness from both her agents and co-workers alike.
Marie’s prospective as a veteran case manager is vital to keeping our system working as efficiently as possible so that our agents get the best level of service possible.
Marie is a licensed L&H agent in the state of NC. She & her husband Jeremy reside in Garner, NC with their sons Kaleb and Ethan.
